A specialist deal maker, whose forte is building and sustaining relationships across geographies (New & Emerging Markets, and within the Commonwealth Nations). He started his career by training as a fighter pilot, in the Indian Air Force. Later he left the forces, and trained to be an accountant, in London. Thereafter, he worked with several MNC's in the Oil and Gas and Construction industry at a senior level, and finally in the 90's, he set up Indo British Consultancy, an exclusive boutique Management Consultancy, specialising in the New & Emerging Markets.
He is presently focused on increasing Foreign Direct investment Inflows both ways, between UK – India, India - Brazil, India – Australia, India – Sri Lanka, India – Malaysia, India-Africa, and India-Indonesia. His father served in the Royal Air Force's (Bomber Command) during the Second World War. He returned to India, after independence, and retired as a highly decorated Air Marshal, incharge of Maintenance Command of the Indian Air Force. He was also appointed the honourary ADC to the President of India. His uncle was also a decorated Air Marshal in the Indian Air Force.

Banker with over 20 years in the UK. He has successfully undertaken a number of economic and banking reforms projects in developing countries and Emerging economies in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the FSU - all funded by international agencies. He has also worked in post conflict country reconstruction - Armenia, The Yemen and Afghanistan, etc. Other activities have included: Visiting lecturer for the MBA programme at leading British Universities, Presentations at conferences and workshops on reforms in developing countries, micro finance, WTO and banking sector, human resources, change management and training, etc. Mr Babu Lal Jain
Mr. Babu Lal Jain, recently appointed Senior Advisor to the United Nations Office for Partnerships, is lending his immense experience to help achieve the MDGs. "Information technology and enabling services", he says, "will be the tools that we need to accelerate the process of reaching the MDGs. There is a great deal of economic activity and business development in the MDG sector which could be very strong growth engines for India's
economic development.” Mr Jain plans to mobilize the corporate sector to participate in the MDGs. Specifically, he is targeting India's 543 parliamentary constituencies, beginning with Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh. There, a diagnostic will be carried out to ascertain where the constituency stands on each of the MDGs. Once this exercise has been carried out in all the seats, corporations will be urged to adopt one or more MDGs in the constituencies of their choice and work towards achieving them by 2015. Mr Jain is the only Indian Senior Advisor appointed to work for achieving the MDGs. He has an extensive career in international business, consultancy and entrepreneurship. The executive positions he currently holds in the private sector include: President, World BPO Forum India; Co-Chairman, Entrepreneurship Committee of ASSOCHAM; Senior Member, Managing Committee, ASSOCHAM, and Director of Biomantra.
Mr Ashutosh Rastogi LLB, LLM
He specializes in International Taxation / Transfer Pricing with several years of experience in International Tax litigation, consulting, and advisory work. During the course of his professional career, he has successfully represented several multinational companies before tax authorities in Transfer Pricing/ International Tax related audits and advised companies on several complex Transfer Pricing matters. He has been instrumental in advising and shaping the Transfer Pricing policies of Corporate’s including a telecom major and an e-learning giant. He has been actively involved in Transfer Pricing related research with several important articles and papers to his credit. His articles covering a broad spectrum of Transfer Pricing matters have been published by BNA, IBFD and International Tax Review. He has also served as an IBFD Instructor for Training Conference on ‘Transfer Pricing of Intangibles’. He has been an active speaker on International Taxation and Transfer Pricing related topics on various forums such as seminars of regional councils of ICAI and business schools. He is also the visiting faculty for International Taxation at reputed law schools.

Interested in the Homeland Security & Defence Sector as his paternal grand father served in the Royal Air Force's (RAF) Bomber Command during the Second World War. • He identified Joint Venture partner’s in India, on behalf of an international Defence contractor, and built a strategic alliance between them, relating to a $500Mn, and $1.5 Bn project. Advised international SME’s on Defence Offsets, Taxation regimes, and Business Risks, relating to the Indian Defence sector.
• Responsible for preparing the term sheet, negotiating and finalising a Joint Venture, relating to the event management industry in India with a leading businessman and politician, and had the interim responsibility to run the company before finding a successor.
• Managed relationships with Kingfisher Airlines and Air India, and identified Sales and Leaseback transactions for the A320 aircraft, on behalf of a billion Dollar aviation fund. I worked closely with the funds board and its legal advisors in the negotiation and structuring of such transactions.
• Scoped, planned and co-managed a team of 15 people through the project life cycle in the implementation of a major public sector Broadband project to provide internet access to 40+ state run schools in the UK.
Dr Tazeeb Rajwani PhD
He is a Senior Lecturer in Strategic Management at Cranfield School of Management. Prior to this role he held a management position at KPMG Corporate Finance, where he was an Innovation Champion and member of the Thought Leadership group at KPMG Europe. He has worked with numerous public and private sector clients, amongst them Transport for London, London Underground, Oracle, Intercontinental Hotels and Nestle. He has written various book chapters, academic papers, reports and white papers on "Strategic Management", including his paper on embracing and exploiting industry turbulence, published in the European Management Journal. His research has been reported in the commercial press, including “The Irish Times and Financial Times”.
Mr Joe Dilger LLB LLM
After working in the private sector (including for NatWest Bank PLC, and the Chambers of Commerce), and then in the Civil Service from 2004 to 2008, Joe moved to become Head of Governance Services for the multi academy sponsor Oasis Community Learning (OCL) from September 2008 to June 2011.
For Oasis as Head of Governance, Joe led and managed on governance, a growing multi Academy chain of schools from 3 Academies (in 2008) to 12 Academies (in 2011), ensuring they delivered success - in compliance with the Ofsted Evaluation Schedule and the Oasis Education Charter. His key responsibilities included: managing and supporting local Academy Council Chairs in their role as “critical friends” to Academies ; conducting ‘child protection’ Academy audits ; reviewing / enhancing policies ; risk assessing Academies’ “higher risk” trips ; ensuring Academies’ compliance with The Freedom of Information Act ; and working with lawyers, so Council members received quality training. In that role, and as part of the wider OCL team, Joe’s key achievements included:
All 12 Academies increased the proportion of students receiving 5 or more A* to C grades at GCSE. The 9 Academies eligible for Ofsted monitoring visits and full inspections in the 2009/10 academic year passed them, including on governance. Chaired Academy Councils / local Boards of Governors for Oasis Academies - including for John Williams Academy (Bristol), where he worked closely with the Principal, and the Academy significantly improved its 5 GCSE results (including English and Maths) at A* to C grades from 16% in 2008 to 40% in 2011. Setting up (prior to opening) effective local Academy Councils for Oasis Academies in Croydon and Enfield in 2009, and in Oldham in 2010. Joe has served (and continues) outside work as a Coach for the education charity Teach First (from 2007 - present), and he is a Fellow (FInstLM) of the Institute of Leadership and Management, and is a (personal) Member of the National Governors’ Association (NGA). In addition, he has completed the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner courses.

Mr Charles Eder MBA
Professional with experience in the third sector. He was a former Country Director for the Austrian Development Cooperation based in Senegal. He gained experience in procurement whilst working at the United Nations Peace keeping mission in Rwanda. In addition, he has also previously worked for one of the largest residential and commercial property agents in the UK. Trilingual: English, French, and German.
Mr Ashutosh Shastri
He specializes in strategy-policy and technology advisory in the energy environmental space advising industrials, energy companies and institutional and private equity investors. He was a specialist consultant in the global energy practice of McKinsey and Company based in London and in that capacity has assisted energy, utilities, water and industrial clients worldwide. He specializes in explaining the strategic inter-linkages between conventional energy, renewable energy- clean tech and carbon markets and exists so that clients are well informed to act on the emerging risks and opportunities. He has advised various well known international energy companies, private equity investors in energy, clean energy and carbon markets, Clean Technology VCs, Energy Technology and Service Companies and participants in the Carbon Markets including Carbon Funds.
Mr Deepak Bhandari
He was a full time Consultant (Head of Business Development for the Indian Market), with Isolux Corsan - a $5 billion Spanish Infrastructure Company. Areas: Power Plants, Solar Power (Isolux developed the largest single Solar park with a capacity of 72 MW in Rovigo, Italy), Ports, Railways, Transmission lines, Water Treatment plants, Highways. Has excellent exposure to the infrastructure space in India – built up a good network of contacts in Government, the industry, top level Consultants with appropriate strengths in specialized fields / geographic strengths.
He has gained vast experience in helping foreign companies to come into India. Areas: Acquisitions, Greenfield projects, locating suitable JV partners, offering incubating services. Developed sound understanding of the Solar Power industry – developed excellent contacts with Solar Power companies in Germany, and State governments especially Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Punjab.
Over 20 years of International experience, based in England and Germany, out of which eleven were spent working for three US Corporations (e.g. Perkin Elmer, MEXX Deutschland GMBH, Bausch & Lomb, etc). As CEO of Mercury Travels (EIH Ltd) based in India, he gained in depth knowledge of the Travel Industry. He is particularly proud of his achievement in successfully bringing AVIS to India, on terms that were very favourable for the Oberoi group. In his role as Chief Financial Officer for Taco (TATA Auto Systems Ltd), he was responsible for the overall Financial Management of a Rs 1100 crore Group, consisting of 13 JVs and 3 Strategic Business Groups. I conducted and successfully concluded negotiations resulting in the establishment of a new JV with a German Company in Bangalore.
